  • #2982 : Laurence, St., legend. Born the heir of Spain, Laurence is transported to Rome by a devil. When a grown man, he goes in search of his parents. One night, he overhears a council of devils, one of whom boasts of having carried him off and of having taken his place at the court of Spain, where he (the devil) turned the country back to paganism.
