#3629 : Peace offering by fox. A fox attempts to catch a bird by pretending peace has been sworn between birds and beasts. The fox invites the bird to give him the kiss of peace. The bird fears treachery but the fox says that he will shut his eyes. The bird approaches the open mouth of the fox and is eaten. (See also: 4311).
