Excommunicatio multa mala inducit in nobis. Primo Dei maledictionem. Legitur quod quidam episcopus molendinum excommunicavit cum omnibus ejus membris. Quod audiens beatus Bernardus, eum reprehendit, quia rem inanimatam excommunicaverat. Tunc iste: "Maledictio Dei inducitur in quacumque re excommunicata, sive sit animata, sive sit inanimata, ut patet de montibus Gelboe.
