(Fr.) L’homme au moment de la mort n’emporte aucun biens temporels sauf son suaire abîmé. Saladin fit porter son suaire dans son royaume et fit dire qu’il n’était pas intéressé par les richesses de son royaume, mais seulement par son suaire.

(It.) L’uomo al momento della morte non porta nulla dei beni temporali se non il sudario lacerato. Il Saladino fece portare il suo sudario per il suo regno e faceva dire che a lui non interessavano le ricchezze del suo regno ma solo il suo sudario.
