#1179 : Confession of prince to bishop. A prince, falling ill, confesses to a bishop and promises amendment, but relapses into sin upon his recovery. Falling ill again, he sends for the bishop again, but the latter rebukes him for breaking his promise and leaves him. The prince has a vision of Christ on the cross with blood flowing from His wounds and hears the Virgin pleading for him. He finally pleads for himself and his repentance is accepted.
