О разбойнице, иже покаянием рай наследова, пустынник же озлобився во ад сниде. Разбойник некий от гнавших по нем бежав и виде, яко уже не утещи, к земли низложи себе, глаголя: «Праведно аз смерть приемлю, понеже господа бога моего многоразличне и многократно оскорбих и дух его раздражих». И плача зело, изрицая и вопия: «Согреших!» Егда же гнав шии постигоша, нача их молити усердно, да мстят ему, за еже бога омрази, и кождый член тела своего издая на муки. Некий же пустынник, пребывая много лет во оном месте и воистинну добродетелен бысть, сей покаяние разбойниче слыша, и от ангела объявленно ему бысть, яко за се ангели душю оного с песньми и пении вознесоша на небо. Пустынник же оный не точию возда о сем славу богу, но и разгневася, глаголя: «Егда сей злодеятель всех благ в мире сем и сладостей приим, при концы же на небо взыде, аз же доколе зде тако буду зло страдати? Сице и аз сотворю: иду в мир и яко же сей при конце сице и аз покаюся и такожде дано ми будет царство небесное, яко же и сему разбойнику». И тако ему доброе пустынное и молчаливое житие оставльшу, пойде в мир служити сатане. И случися итти через некую реку, спаде с мосту и утопе, и восхитивше душу его демони и ввергоша во ад.
