Tercio elemosina est carceris expeditiva.
Refert Johannes Elemosinarius quod quidam captivus a Sarracenis est in carcere reclusus. Cum quidam de captivis evadendis et evadentes et ad terram ejus venissent, dixerunt se ipsum propriis manibus sepelisse et fraudati eo quod ei similem sepelissent. Et ideo parentes ejus quolibet anno quatuor collecta facientes pauperibus erogabant. Tandem expedit juvenis et ad terram propriam rediens, audita que faciebant pro eo dixit quod in illis diebus quidam candidus homo ingrediebatur carcerem et solutum ducebat ad pastum; transactis illis diebus iterato eum in carcere recludebat.
