Legitur in Libro de Septem Donis Spiritus Sancti quod quidam in visu vidit quendam honorabilem virum secularem, qui cum excessisset in gloria mundi, in gula, in lascivia, et precipue in vanis cantibus, ductus est ad aulam inferni, et ecce princeps demonum surgens de cathedra sua et ei occurrens collavit eum in ipsa dicens : "Sede in hac cathedra ignea pro honore quem habuisti in mundo !"Et accepto vase dabat ei potum amarissimum et fetidissimum et immundum, et cum rennueret bibere, cogebatur pro potibus delectabilibus sustinere hanc penam. Tunc surrexerunt duo demones cum tubis maximis et insufflantes in auribus ejus flatus ignis exibat per oculos ejus, per nares, per os, per omnes meatus totius corporis, et hoc fiebat propter cantilenas et cantus lascivos. Tunc duo serpentes circundabant eum et cum dentibus discerpebant, et hoc fiebat propter amplexus mulierum, nec habebat requiem propter transitoriam delectationem mundi.
