Refert Helinandus quod quidam imperator fuit in roma pius et justus, et ratione pietatis non poterat respicere mortem malorum. Habito autem consilio de modo punitionum, dixit unus consiliarius quod ipse adinvenerat optimum modum. Fecit namque fieri vaccam eneam concavam et magnam in qua positi sunt condemnati, supposito igne ponerentur interficiendi. Cognita autem ab imperatore crudelitate consiliantis ipsum in illo tormento fecit peremi.

Vacca ignea est bursa regum et principum quam mali consiliarii fabricant, ut supposito igne avaricie depredentur subditi boni et justi. Et ideo frequenter est ut tales consiliatores primo paciantur de mala servitute inducta.
