Mendacium multum malum inducit in nobis.

Refert Jacobus de Vitriaco quod fuit quidam miles qui rogavit scutiferum suum ut semper in curia menciendo augmentaret quicquid diceret. Cum autem in quodam festo magno non vellet capucium deponere, eo quod esset aliquantulum scabiosus, interrogatus quid haberet, respondit quod habebat aliquantulum de excoriatione in capite. Tunc scutifer: "Immo domine, habetis totum caput plenum scabie. ” At illi auferentes ei capucium invenerunt sic esse.
