Legitur in Libro de .VII. Donis Spiritus Sancti quod fuit quidam nobilis qui audiens commendationes mirabiles de illis qui erant liberales et habundanter donabant, volens omnes superare, quicquid habuit sive in indumentis, sive in aliis petentibus est largitus; et ultra hoc se dedit in majoris liberalitatis signum.

Loquendo spiritualiter iste nobilis est Christus benedictus qui sua dedit (bIncarnacione se in consortium, in cena in viticum, in Passione in redemptionis pretium. Corpus dedit crucifixoribus, dorsum flagellationibus facientibus et conspuentibus, genass percutientibus, barbam vellentibus, cor redire volentibus, vestem lusoribus, sanguinem reis, sudorem infirmis, fontem lateris immundis, lacrimas perditis, discipulo matrem, Symeoni Syreneo crucem, Paradisum latroni, animam patri, vitam morti in signum perfecte liberalitatis ut nos ditaret complete.
