Secundo est divine maledictionis excitativa.

Unde legitur in Vitas Patrum quod cum beatus Arsenius fuisset magnus princeps in curia imperatoris, considerans que et quot mala eveniebant per avariciam, intravit heremum heremita factus. Qui requisitus a sanctis patribus que mala in divitiis viderat, respondit Arsenius: "Si unus cibus esset maledictus per sanctum virum, non libenter comederetur ab amico, quanto magis et utens et cibus sunt a Deo maledicti -[f° v°]- . Et quia avari et divites in Sacra Scriptura sunt decies maledicti, ideo ve eis associer qui perituras divitias congregant et perdentes eternas. Ideo Deum glorifico et benedico qui me huc traxit ad se. "
