(En.) (Two dicers were gambling on the porch of a church. The porch had a large statue of the Virgin with her Son). When one of the dicers had lost everything down to his breeches, he got up, madly afflicted, and seizing a stone, he threw it at the image and broke the left arm, with which it was holding the Boy. And when the Boy threatened to fall, by the wonderful power of God, the image extended its right arm and took hold of the Child. After this, blood flowed copiously from the left arm, which those present received, both men and women, in vessels and painstakingly preserved it. The desecrator, however, was seized by a demon. And because he had denigrated the immaculate womb of the Holy Virgin through his unseemly affront, everyone in that place watched as all of his guts spilled through the back door of his body. And thus, he ended his unworthy life with a fitting death.

(Fr.) (Deux joueurs de dés font une partie sous le porche d'une église surmonté d'une grande statue de la Vierge à l'enfant). Quand l'un des deux joueurs eut tout perdu jusqu'à son pantalon, il se leva. Follement affligé, il saisit une pierre et la jeta sur l'image de la Vierge ce qui lui cassa le bras gauche, avec lequel elle tenait l'enfant Jésus. Et quand l'enfant Jésus menaça de tomber, par la puissance merveilleuse de Dieu, l'image étendit son bras droit et saisit l'enfant Jésus. Après cela, le sang coula abondamment du bras gauche de la statue. Les personnes présentes le mirent dans un récipient et le gardèrent précieusement. Ce blasphémateur fut alors saisi par un démon, et parce que les entrailles immaculées de la bienheureuse Vierge avaient été déshonorées par l'insulte immonde, toutes les entrailles du blasphémateur furent déversées à la vue des gens au même endroit par la porte arrière du corps. Et ainsi une vie indigne s'est terminée par une mort indigne.

.....cum omnia perdidisset usque ad femoralia, amens effectus, surrexit et arripiens lapidem iecit in ymaginem fregitque sinistrum brachium quo amplexata est puerum. Et cum puer minaretur casum, mira dei uirtute ymago illa dextrum porrexit brachium et puerum retinuit. Porro cruor ex sinistro brachio cucurrit habundanter, quem receperunt tam uiri quam mulieres in uasis et diligenter reposuerunt. Sacrilegus autem ille arreptus est a demonio, et quia beate uirginis inmaculata uiscera turpi contumelia deprauauerat, uidente populo in eodem loco per posteriorem ianuam corporis effusa sunt omnia uiscera eius. Et sic indignam uitam digna morte finiuit
